I started working with Michelle in early 2018. Although I’d considered myself athletic and active for most of my life, at 40 years old I’d lost myself in being a working mom and in an all too common place of high anxiety, stress, depression and, generally, feeling overwhelmed. I needed a new goal, a new perspective and I knew I needed to invest in myself if I was ever going to invest my best self in others and my surroundings. I had been thinking of training for and entering a fitness competition for about a year. All signs pointed to taking action. A friend recommended Michelle to me and after research and meeting her I signed up with Tulum Strength Club with Michelle as my coach. That decision, and more importantly, the conscious decision to design my daily life around workouts and meal planning and preparation (yes, this is possible with kids and work!) has led me down a far more happier, less stressed and less anxiety-filled existence. I finally feel like my younger self, but better – yes, better. I’m more confident, stronger, smarter and grateful for what my mind and body is capable of – now at 41! By learning about and following a proven approach of macro based meal planning and weight training and cardio – and having the highly effective coaching of Michelle – I’m leaner, stronger and have achieved better definition than I had in my 20s as a competitive athlete.

I contacted Michelle in 2016 after years of searching for a female coach with macros experience, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! With Michelle’s guidance overseas, I achieved my goals in 2016 placing 1st and 2nd in back to back Open Figure line ups, and we’re again working together to improve my physique for another comp as I had such a great experience last time. I’ve learnt how to be a professional athlete through better lifestyle behaviours, and I’ve improved my coaching as a Personal Trainer to my own clients under Michelle’s guidance. The best thing about having Michelle as a coach is that her values and morals align with mine, and she actually cares about my health, something I don’t see often with many others in the industry. I look forward to continuing with Michelle when I have children and through to my 50’s!
I have been working with Jean Jacques now for just a little over two years and it has been a great experience! In this short time we have been able to win an overall bodybuilding championship, successfully reverse diet while maintaining a lean physique and maintaining muscle mass. His approach to dieting gives you the flexibility to enjoy a variety of foods all while maintaining your goals and physique. The training programs are intense and produce top notch results! I started working with Michelle, “Your Healthy Hedonista”, in January, 2016. At 49, I was overweight, had high blood pressure (on meds); high triglycerides and high glucose. My goal was to NOT be on medication and have good health. In less than 6 months I was off my meds and lost 30 lbs. 2 years later…life throws me the biggest curve ball. I lost my son (my only child) tragically at the age of 26. Michelle knew exactly how to guide me through my health in the toughest time of my life. Training for the SAF competition (my very first at the age of 51) became the best therapy. With her compassion, expertise and continual firmness and attentiveness, I went into the competition almost 40 lbs lighter, 6” off my waist; 7” off my hips and 5 1/2” off of my thighs. My health and mindset has never been better. Michelle gave me the tools and the confidence to go beyond my expectations. If I can do it, anyone can. It takes some time. But You Have more time to take care of yourself, than you do being sick.
When I first started working with Michelle I had committed to doing a figure show. I had no idea how much work I actually had to do, and what would come of it. I have done big weight cuts before by myself; however, I have never seen results like this. What I got was so much more than just a six pack. I've learned how to cook and live my life that supports a both healthy mind and strong body. With her amazing guidance I was able to loose body fat while maintaining all of my muscle and strength, which feels incredible. Working with Michelle is not a means to an end, but instead, a new beginning in a life long journey.
